I was talking to friend who lives in Norway and she said that the government takes care of you if you’re unable to work.  They have high taxes for that very reason.  The other part that I really like about living abroad is they give 6 weeks per year for what they call holiday and we call vacation.  You get 6 weeks even if it’s your first year on the job.   How cool is that?  They also get 12 months paid leave after having a baby.  The reason for this is that Norway wants to encourage woman to have children.  They noticed their birth rate displaying a steady decline. My girlfriend that moved back there after we graduated high school asked if I would come a couple weeks before her wedding so I could help her make the wedding favors and her wedding garter.  I said yes.  I can hardly wait to go.  The first thing I have to complete is helping my mother get my sister ready for her senior prom.  I told my mother that we need to focus on buying everything we need for my little sister’s prom, so I can catch a plane to Norway.  So we planned to go shopping the next day for the personalized prom favors for close friends, prom party favors for all her other friends, and a real nice prom garter for her.  After that, it’s time for me to buy my virtual ticket and fly the skies to Norway. I can’t wait.  It will be one of dreams coming true.
